Chain manufacturers tell us that proper lubrication increases chain life by as much as a factor of 4. Coupling this with the reduction in power draw that results from regular lubrication, reduction in down time, and the cost of repair and replacement of associated damage that often results from chain failure, a preventive maintenance program of regular lubrication reduces costs in both the short run and the long run.

Dri-Slide^® chain lubricants are a special blend of penetrants formulated for use in automatic central lubricating systems. They also work well in canister-type automatic lubricators; they may also be applied by brush or rag. These lubricants contain a Super Fine grade of molybdenum disulfide (“Moly”) to provide superior load carrying capacity while at the same time operating over a wide temperature range. Dri-Slide^® chain lubricants require no agitation.

These lubricants are designed to apply a fine, uniform lubricant, thus may not appear black on the surfaces lubricated. As with all lubricants, the best indication of when to relubricate is how the equipment is running, or excessive noise, or excessive shiny spots on chain contact and wear points.

Dri-Slide^® P-116 Chain Lube
Recommended for use on conveyor chain and bearings where the recipient surface temperature is above 110°F (43.3°C) at the point of application. This product may require a slightly longer drying time due to the high flash solvent used to raise the flash point.
