Under the dusty conditions in which farm machinery is operated, petroleum based lubricants and greases can attract dirt and airborne particulates. Not only can this interfere with lubrication, it can also act as an abrasive - a lapping compound - and actually wear away the surfaces instead of lubricating them.
Dri-Slide® molybdenum disulfide (“moly”) based lubricants are applied wet and then leave a dry lubricant bonded to metal surfaces after the liquid carrier has evaporated. Dri-Slide® lubricants will not attract dirt, dust, sand, or other airborne particulates. Use them in place of grease and oils on all metal-to-metal contact surfaces.
